Come and make a Christmas wreath/ welcome ring in the morning, followed by a garland to hang over a fireplace, door or up the stairs in the afternoon.

Mulled wine and mince pies to get you in the mood for Christmas.

There will be a bring and share lunch (please be aware if you have food allergies)

All the materials are natural from the wreath bases to the filling, so very environmentally friendly.

Rush Boater/Hat Weaving

learn to weave this traditional hat, in beautiful English rush cut from a river locally (Suffolk) with experienced, qualified weaver Catherine Tregaskes. You will be learning a checkweave and pairing weave. Working with rush is much easier on your hands, it has a lovely fresh smell and similar to weaving with bark.

Learn to make these beautiful broomcorn brushes with visiting tutor Deborah Schneebeli Morrell from Plot and Ponder. We will be working with various materials, Tampico fibres, coconut fibres plus some other materials and make two or three brushes. Deborah is also a spoon carver and artist.

This is a really nice way to start your weaving journey, we start with the larger structure in the morning then move onto something smaller in the afternoon. If you wish to make a peony support instead of an obelisk I will need to know at the time of booking.

Once full payment or deposit has been made no refunds are given, however you can transfer your place if two weeks notice is given. You can also give your booking to another person for the same workshop, If you book your place and do not arrive no refund will be made.
